Church Streaming Tips

Latency Considerations

For overflow rooms, keep latency under 2 seconds to avoid audio echo. Use multicast or low-latency HLS rather than standard HLS (which has 10-30 sec delay).

Internet Bandwidth

For online streaming, ensure upload bandwidth is 2x your stream bitrate. A 4 Mbps stream needs at least 8 Mbps upload for reliability.

Backup Plan

Consider a backup internet connection or encoder for critical services. Some encoders support dual streaming to primary and backup destinations.
